Sewing2gether All Nations invite you to a special Sewing Workshop Fundraiser in support of Classrooms for Malawi.

In summer 2026, a group from Renfrewshire will travel to Malawi as part of a partnership between Renfrewshire Council and the West‑of‑Scotland charity Classrooms for Malawi. This volunteer‑led charity exists solely to improve and advance education in Malawi.

Over the years, Renfrewshire teams have helped build and renovate vital facilities including:

- A new school, nursery and medical office in William’s Village

- A toilet block, Mary’s Meals kitchen, and teacher’s house

- Major upgrades at Ngumbe Secondary School, including a renovated dormitory, a new sewing & textiles teaching space, and electrical improvements across the campus

As Elaine Scott from Building Services shared:

“Being involved in these projects in Malawi is life‑changing for everyone. You really get a great sense of achievement when you know that your efforts will change the opportunities that the children will have in the future.”

For 2026, the team aims to return to Malawi to upgrade and repair the remaining student dormitories—essential for pupils who must live on site due to long travel distances. To make this possible, they need to raise £25,000+ for building materials and renovation costs.

Our Sewing Workshop Fundraiser is one way we’re helping toward that goal—and we’d love your support.

Come along, learn new skills, enjoy a creative session, and help us make a real difference for young people in Malawi.
