This exciting new exhibition for 2024 at The Art Department explores all things Paisley Pattern! The Paisley Pattern is a centuries old pattern that has been utilised worldwide. It is one of the most highly recognisable motifs and is still sought after in everyday wear and high-end fashion.
The “Teardrop Explodes” exhibition will have a booth style layout featuring installations, artworks, displays, memorabilia, costumes, historical context, and textiles.
We are delighted to be taking part in the Teardrop Explodes Exhibition where we will showcase our Millie Dolls Project, a collaboration with Journeys in Design and our Paisley Conversations Project, a culmination of local and New Scots voices.
On display will be examples of work from our recent Nowruz glass painting and Paisley Pattern cushion workshops.
We will also be revealing our upcycled Paisley Pattern 'Aye Welcome Refugees' Banner, our submission for this year's Refugee Festival Scotland.
